About Bev

Bev is the chief Idea Girl for a reason. She inspires.

She has 25 years of experience as a writer and communications consultant. She worked as director of corporate communications for a major printing and publishing company, was a senior manager at one of the world's largest consulting firms and owned one of the Twin Cities' most successful employee and marketing communication firms. She's also the author of What Do You Really Want? How to Set a Goal and Go For It! A Guide for Teens, which has been translated into five languages.

Bev works hard to create effective communication and to build solid relationships. She smiles in the face of tight deadlines and does all she can to make clients' lives easier.

She's a self-starter with a lot of get up and go. Her favorite time of day is early morning, which is why you'll often find her responding to e-mails before 5 a.m.

Favorite punctuation mark: The asterisk because she knows most things are more than meets the eye

Favorite book on writing: Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott

To spark ideas, Bev:
•  Googles
•  Wears a black boa
•  Picks up a book and opens it to a random page

Bev is an Idea Girl because she:
•  Reads a book a week
•  Has never met an idea she didn't like
•  Would rather brainstorm than buy groceries
